Mixed Media Monday - Stars

Mixed Media Monday chose stars this week. I attempted to illustrate the phrase from "Fly Me to the Moon". My dancers are from Flickr Collage images, background Jofia Devoe, city scape from I don't remember where. Thanks for looking!

  3. And you illustrated it so well Bev I'm singing it now (will it be in my head all day?).

  5. Love your little starry dancers!
Thanks for your lovely comments on my latest Crowabout collage. You asked how I got the images so clear - well I went back to where Nancy gets lots of her pictures from and found the original of the background here. I downloaded the medium size one and resized it in Paint Shop Pro using Smart Size. For the other stuff I used 'Sharpen' and/or 'Clarify' in PSP until I got the results I wanted. If you use Photoshop I should imagine there are similar tools.
It's always worth looking at the Collage Images site to see if any elements are there in higher resolution although I must admit this is the first time I thought to give it a go!

  10. I thought this might be "swinging' on a star". Wasn't there a song with that in the lyrics? This is really cool, Bev. Colorful and gorgeous.
