Mixed Media Monday - Games

There was a time (before television and obesity) when children spent endless hours playing active outdoor games like Cops and Robbers, Keep-Away, Blind Man's Bluff, Red Rover, Fox and Goose, Tag, and Hide and Seek for a few. I tried to make my page reminiscent of those times. Remember when? Credits are due to BaersGarten and Maya from SBG, Kubivet, and Flickr Collage Images (Sassyart). Thanks to Mixed Media Monday for jogging my memory, and thanks to those of you who stopped by for a peek!

  1. Ah, Bev - now you've made me nostalgic too. Those were the good old days - and another one I loved was Queenie, Queenie, who's got the ball? Great piece of art, you really captured the feel of those bygone days! Diane

  5. This is a wonderful nostalgic piece Bev and your words are so true- things used to be simpler and children relied more upon their imaginations and the great outdoors. Beautiful entry here!

  7. Ah, the nostalgia comes flowing in. I remember playing outdoors until the sun went down on hot summer nights. We never stopped. We invented our own games and played all the old ones. How the world has changed.
Bev, you have touched a nerve in all of us, I'm sure, and you have done it beautifully.
