Three Muses - Written Word

The elements for this piece are all from Flickr Collage Images.   I thank those generous folks who have built such a wonderful warehouse of images free to use.    I love the eyes of this lady.  She looks sad, thoughtful, and somewhat mystical.   Thanks for stopping by!

A Hearty Big Thank You to Stacey (CrunchyDiva)

After a frustrating week of not being able to comment on those blogs that used word verification, Stacey (CrunchyDiva) gave me a tip to UNCLICK the box for Stay Signed In on the Blogger Sign-in page.  I did, and it solved the problems.  Seems totally backward, but I'm not questioning a good thing .... just passing it along to those of you who were having the same problem.   THANK YOU, Stacey!!!

Take a Word - Wings

A flight of fantasy for this week's "Wings" challenge.    The angel and the village have been in my stash for a long time, unfortunately from a time I was careless in recording sources, so I can't give credit.  If anyone knows, clue me in.  (I am at the moment caught in the Blogger fiasco, and unable to comment on any blog that's using word verification, so if I fail to comment, on your work please forgive me).

Three Muses - Blue

I don't usually enjoy color challenges, but I had great fun with this one.  Thanks, Ann!    This little guy looks a bit puzzled, and no small wonder.  He's found a genie in a bubble.  Now what's a cool guy to do with that??

Take A Word - Zetti

Meet Mary, a slightly Zetti young lady.   Mary didn't want to be bothered with school.  She pouted when her mother made her go.  It was such a bore.  She preferred shopping and boys.    As a result, she grew up to be somewhat factually unencumbered, and suffered from a permanent pout!   Alas, poor Mary, I knew her well.....

Sunday Postcard - Stork

The background is a freebie from the very generous Elizabeth Golden, the rest googled.    Thanks to Sunday Postcard for the challenge!

Theme Thursday - Numbers

This is sort of a stretch for the theme of numbers, but it just sort of seemed to take on a life of its own!   The background and horse are from Land of Nod, the boy "wannabe" cowboy is from Rian.  Credit for the cowboys and the boot to Kubivet. Thanks to both for their generosity, and thanks to you for stopping by!

Three Muses - Eggs

Spring is the time all the momma birds are busy tending their nests.   My son and wife have their front door ribboned off because a robin has built her nest in the wreath on their front door!    Their guests will be back-door guests until Momma Robin's little family is on its way.   My momma bird here is compliments of Graphic Fairy (and thank you very much).    Thanks for visiting!

Take a Word - Oriental

This lovely image is courtesy of MsInman's Public Domain at Flickr.  She's so lovely, it seemed all she needed was an Oriental-flavored background..   Great theme!

Sunday Postcard - Dada

What I did NOT know about Dada would fill a book.   I thought Dada was Mama's husband!  After some net-sleuthing, I am still somewhat confused, but it seems to be incongruous collage.   Here's my feeble effort at Dadaism!   Thanks for looking.

Three Muses - Mona Lisa

It's always been a bit of a puzzle to me why Mona's popularity never wanes.   She isn't especially beautiful, but she certainly holds the medal for longevity!!   Yet....as this piece came together and I saw just those eyes in the puzzle pieces I thought "I'd know those eyes anywhere!"

Take a Word - Chocolate

I think I gained 10 lbs. just creating this.  Every time I saw chocolate, I had to go find some!   I cannot....repeat cannot...imagine life without chocolate!   My background and some elements are compliments of Finecrafted Designs, the rest from net-surfing.

Sunday Postcard - April Showers

We've been getting far more than our share of April showers in my part of the world.  Flood waters are everywhere, but the flowering trees are gorgeous,  the new green of Spring is everywhere,  and there's that special lift in one's step that comes with the wonder that is Spring after a long winter.   Thanks for stopping by!

Collage Obsession - Boy and Girl

This image looked as if it came straight out of an old book of memories, so I put it back in one.   I wish I were skilled at recoloring these old photos, but alas I've yet to master that talent!   Thanks, Rick, for the challenge!

Take a Word - Exposed

This week's challenge word, "Exposed",  took me directly to film.....no nudes or risque images.  Must be my age!!   Thanks for stopping by on your way to more "revealing" entries, I'm sure!   I plead seniority!
