Take a Word - Raven

This wonderful background by Finecrafted Designs seemed a perfect backdrop for the Graphic Fairy raven, and the quote, of course, from Edgar Allen Poe's "Lenore".   What fun!
(Afterthought --  Or was it "suddenly there came a tapping"?  Uh oh, too late to change it now!)

We're asked to create something in turquoise this week at Sunday Postcard.  Here's mine, with the help of Tangie Baxter and Lorie Davison of Scrapbookgraphics.   Thanks for your comments!

Three Muses - Words in Art

I chose Words in Art for the theme at Three Muses this week.   Every piece of art should tell a story, but I love it when words are used as well.    I think I got this cherub from a magazine.  I don't seem to have a history for him.  Sorry.   Ribbon is credit to Donna Miller.

Take a Word - Numbers

This week's theme at Take a Word is Numbers.  My distinguished gentleman "number cruncher" is from a painting by Hubert von Herkomer.  The numbers are from Maya's Steampunk at Scrapbook Graphics.  Thanks for stopping by to have a look!

Three Muses - Vintage Bathing Beauties

This week's challenge at Three Muses is Vintage Bathing Beauties.   My trio is from Flickr Collage Images (Take a Break), and other elements from Kubivet.   This was sort of an outside-the-box adventure!   Thanks for visiting me!

Collage Obsession - Cabinet Card

The cowboy cabinet card CO gave us to work with captured my fancy.  I'm sure he was dreaming of a dashing cowgirl, and I found just the one, a freebie from Miles Beyond the Moon (thanks).   The rope border from my software seemed to finish it off.  Thanks for the challenge, CO!

Sunday Postcard - Blossom

This is a bit off-beat (to say the least).    Credit for the book to Maya at Scrapbookgraphics, the flowers to Christina Renee Designs.   As for Sally and the poem -- they're Bev originals (such as they are!)   Thank you for visiting!

Take a Word - Skinny

It seems to me we ladies have, for the most part, forgotten how to be elegant.   I have to admit it's quite a long time since I've even worn a dress...and a hat?...even longer!   Maybe that's why so many of us are drawn to the images of the elegantly dressed ladies of times gone by!   Both the background ad and the lady are from Flickr Collage Images.   Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday Postcard - Zetti Easter

Here's a Zetti commercial look at Easter .... a far cry from the true meaning of the Christian holiday.   I wonder how hiding eggs and the Easter bunny became part of the tradition.    Credit for my Zetti character to Tumblefish Studios.

Three Muses - Umbrella

*****( I just realized I posted this a day early!   I had a senior moment and thought this was Tuesday.   Sorry if I confused everybody.)****
Won't the strong, stalwart husband be happy to see his wife waiting for him in the field near the house!  I love the women painted by John William Waterhouse, and enjoy creating new scenes for them.  I think I should start a series titled Waterhouse women standing in meadows!   Credit to Finecrafted Designs for the background.  The umbrella is googled.   Thanks to all of you for stopping by!

Take a Word - Eggs

Thanks to Create Wings and Catherine Designs.    A bit of whimsy under the cherry blossoms!
