Sunday Postcard - Sepia

I had a bit of fun and added some spice to the sepia in this week's postcard.    Elements have been in my stash for a long time.  I believe the pin-up is from a vintage magazine cover.  The postcard is a freebie from a generous artist in the Netherlands named Mars.

Three Muses - Frames

I don't know about you, but I always have trouble with frames.  Is it too large, is it too small, should I mat, should I not mat, should it be ornate or should it not, etc.   Decisions, decisions!!   Most everything here has been googled, except for the charming lady, who was a freebie from somewhere.   Thanks for stopping by!

Take a Word - Insect

I had the most dreadful time with this challenge.  Several efforts went to the trash bin.  Then I came across this grasshopper, and therein lies the tale.  Yes, I know it's strange, but sometimes there's no arguing with the muse!

Sunday Postcard - Nature

My mother was happiest in her garden, and the words of the verse above always make me think of her.   She would go to the garden in the very early morning hours and spend time weeding and  picking flowers for the little bouquet she always kept on the kitchen table in the summertime.   Mother Nature was kind to her.  Everything she put in the ground seemed to grow and flourish.   Her garden was her special talent.  Credit:  C. Bauman for the graphics, and to Dover for the butterfly.    Thanks for stopping by!

Three Muses - Food and Drink

I've lost my notes with regard to credits for this piece.  Mea culpa.   Thanks to Marie for a fun challenge this week!

Take a Word - Sewing

Since the theme this week is "sewing",I thought I'd introduce you to Sarah Jane.  I made her about 30 years ago when primitive dolls were all the rage.  She's wearing her best pantaloons and her dust cap, and she has a special place in my heart.

Sunday Postcard - Shakespeare

Ah, the Bard!   What fine lines he's left for us.   "Something wicked this way comes"...."My nose is in great indignation"....."I do desire we may be better strangers"...  He just had a way with words, didn't he???

Three Muses - Out of Bounds

I love doing the out-of-bounds type digital art, this week's challenge at Three Muses.  I couldn't choose between these two, so I'm posting them both!   Thanks for looking!

Take a Word - Floral

I love working with black backgrounds, and the way they make color pop.   The silver swirl is compliments of Zakirah (DD).  Thanks to Marie at Take-A-Word for asking me to post this week.

Sunday Postcard - Underwater

Many credits for this one --- Phong Ton (Scrapbookgraphics), Kubivet, and Finecrafted Designs.  The mermaid is free clip art, and the fish are Dover freebies.   (I tried to place one of the bubbles strategically!)

Three Muses - Warm Colors

This is a very old Zetti piece repurposed.   It seemed to fit the theme too well not to bring it out of retirement!  Thanks for looking.

Take a Word - Weddings

This piece was done in the style of Michele Caplan for a challenge at our Digitalmania site.   Marie suggested it fit nicely with this week's challenge, and she's right.   The image is a freebie from Terri Kahrs (thanks, Terri); and thank you, my blog friends, for stopping by!
