Three Muses - Dance

The challenge this week is Dance.  My dancer is from Dover, and the background is by Lorie Davison at Scrapbookgraphics.   When I was single and carefree, my roommates and I took dance lessons at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Miami.   What a fine time we had .... doing some out-of-studio dancing with our instructors.  I remember being quite enamored of my instructor...ah that handsome Louis Trombetta!!!    I wonder if Louis is still dancing.

TAW - Mail Art

Mail art is always fun.   It's amazing what will go through the mail, and receiving a piece of mail art is a wonderful surprise in the mailbox.   Making your own stamps is a fun time too!   Elements for this envelope were pulled from various kits in my stash.  Thanks for visiting!

Three Muses - Book Cover

This is a composite of two vintage book covers from Vintage Resources, altered.  The image is one of Harrison Fisher's American Beauties, and the book title and author are figments of my imagination.  (I couldn't resist having a bit of fun with the author's name!)

TAW - Blue

Blue's the word at Take a Word this week.   My little lady in blue is a Flickr Collage free-to-use, her head replaced by one of my sketches.  The rest from my stash.   As I look out my den window, the sky is a beautiful cloudless blue as well!   Lots for which to be grateful.  Thanks for stopping by!

Three Muses - Underwear

Life goes on as usual at Buckingham Palace.  Monday is wash day, and Her Majesty orders the gates to be closed until the laundry has been taken down.  She likes her bloomers and Prince Phillip's long johns to smell of sunshine and fresh London air, I'm told.   Despite her new gold-plated million-dollar carriage, she's just an ordinary girl.......
I hope my Brit friends will forgive me for having a bit of fun with the royals!

Sunday Postcard - In the Garden

Nothing more beautiful than gardens in Spring when everything is bursting into bloom!   Here's my bit of garden for this week's challenge.  Thanks for stopping by.

TAW Shapes

I used a background by Finecrafted Designs, found the little lady in The Lost Gallery, and "made" Pandora's box.   Well....she COULD be a Pandora, couldn't she???

Three Muses - Sorrow

This is a lovely image by Jean Baptiste Greuze, superimposed on a free sepia background.  I added the tears.   A dear friend has lost her son suddenly this week, far too young, far too soon.  Sorrow was on my mind.   Thank you all for stopping by.

TAW - Numbers

This piece is meant to convey that the hours and minutes slip by into days, weeks, months, and years, and the pages of the book of our lives turn ever onward.
Background several blended, free images cybersurfed, numbers credit to Maya at Scrapbookgraphics.
