Three Muses - Disguise

Milady is from The Lost Gallery, the mask and frame are googled.   Paul Laurence Dunbar said it well in his poem "We Wear the Mask".....In his words (in part), "We wear the mask that grins and lies, It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes.  This debt we pay to human guile; With torn and bleeding hearts we smile."....   It seems to me we are all careful to hide our true selves.  It is difficult to be truly vulnerable.  Don't you agree?  Thanks for stopping by!

  6. I love the quote, Bev, and it seems many of us are of the same mind about hiding our true selves. This is a wonderful interpretation worth a very low bow from me.
