Take a Word - Vintage/New

Marie has asked us to place a vintage photo in new surroundings.  I suspect this young lady felt as if she'd driven her vintage auto through a time warp of some sort, so she stopped for a photo.  Thanks for visiting.

Digital Whisper - Rust

Patti has chosen rust for this week's challenge.  This rusty old gate at an old castle in Belgium seemed to fill the bill, and the dapper gentleman looks as if he might come to call.  Thanks for stopping by.

Three Muses - SuperPower

I used to have flying dreams, when I would simply levitate and sail above the rooftops,  descending gently to earth wherever I chose.    I loved those dreams!   So, if I had a superpower, I guess it would be the ability to levitate.   I admit I shamelessly borrowed this clip art of Mary Poppins to help illustrate my superpower.  Thanks for listening!

Digital Whisper - Railroad Tracks

Abandoned rails always send me on a mental journey wondering where they once went, and what part they played in the lives of those who rode them.  Maybe once this little family rode the train to visit family in far away places, when the rails were glistening and the train cars were magic.  How I wish I could see back through the mists of time!

Take a Word - Male

Meet Kaiser Franz Josef I @ 1898, found on a vintage postcard.  How much time do you suppose he spent grooming that marvelous moustache?   Moustache advertisements were googled.  Thanks for your visit.

Sunday Postcard - Tattoos

It's my personal opinion that God did not intend for us to use our bodies for posterboards, but my grandson tells me I'm pretty old and stodgy!   My tattoo lady is from a tattoo advertisement, the vines are from CR Designs, and the background is from my archives.  Thanks for stopping by!

Take a Word - Glamorous Lady

Layered background includes Renaissance floral painting, image is my own sketch, although I'm not at all sure how glamorous she is.  Thank you for visiting.

Digital Whisper - Surreal

Surreal at sea.  Credit to Finecrafted Designs, the rest googled.

Three Muses - Feathered Friends

Who knows what secret rendezvous occur at night when the city is sleeping?    I caught these two quite by accident one night when I was out later than usual.   I can't help but wonder if their romance came to fruition!

Take a Word - Lock and Key

Did you ever meet someone who seemed to be behind locked gates....someone who could not allow themselves to be open to new experiences and opportunities....someone locked in their emotional prison?  That's what I've tried to depict here.   Credit to Jen U Designs.   Thanks for looking!

Digital Whisper - Feet

This is a family photo I found touching when I cropped it to feature just the feet.  The wee fellow is my great grandson, 10 years old now, an amazing young man!   Thanks for visiting.

Welcome to Teddi who's joining Collage Obsession.  The challenge is pink and orange.  The image is from a vintage Vogue magazine cover, altered somewhat.  Thank you for comments!

Three Muses - Weather

It was a dark and stormy night ..... and the realtor waited hopefully.   This is the wettest July in history in my city, so we have had more than our share of dark and stormy nights.  It's been the stuff of mystery novels, so of course this scenario came to mind.  Thanks for indulging my fantasy!  The "realtor" is credit to Finecrafted Designs, the umbrella to Tumblefish Studios, and the rest googled.

Take a Word - Hearts and Flowers

My thanks to Astrid McLean for the background.  I've added some hearts, and an image from a 1922 advertisement.  Thanks for stopping by.

Digital Whisper - Mailbox

Much of the excitement of going to the mailbox has disappeared in this day of texting and e-mail.  Receiving an actual honest-to-goodness letter is a real occasion now.    My background and the young man are compliments of Land of Nod.  The mailbox was cybersurfed.  Thanks for your visit!
