Three Muses - White Space
I love creating pieces with white space. It's always a challenge. I don't know why they call it "white space" when it isn't necessarily white -- just uncluttered!

Three Muses - Music
Willie Nelson is the face of country music in the U.S. He's written hundreds of songs, many of them hits. He's revered by the country music industry and thousands of fans, of which I'm most definitely one!

Take a Word - Dancer
My mother told stories of the gypsies who camped near the river by her home. Her father used to take the children for buggy rides to the gypsy camp. I wonder if she saw anything like this. Background is a 19th century painting by William Beckwith McInnes, somewhat altered. Image is a free PNG.
Digital Whisper - School Days
"Readin' and writin' and 'rithmetic, taught to the tune of a hickory stick" … and I can't remember the rest of the song!

Three Muses - Vintage
This is a found cabinet card. I have named her Lydia, and imagined the poem about her life. How I wish my great grandmother had kept a journal!

Take a Word - Autumn
It's still summer in my world, and the leaves have yet to start changing color. Summer is hanging on. Image a freebie from Art Designs Joy.

Sunday Postcard - City Girl
a dreamer and midnight believer
She flew in the face of decorum
She chased life’s treasures
In indiscriminate pleasures
If given rules, she’d ignore ‘em
As her days filled with regret
She tried vainly to forget
Empty promises and broken dreams
A rogue wind that saddled lightning
Life’s storms became all too frightening
Alas, Sadie lost her way, so it seems
But she’d heard of “due diligence”
She drew on her resilience
And learned from her checkered past
She made better choices
And now she rejoices
Sadie’s chartered a new course at last.

Three Muses - Hat
A part of me is happy to be living in an era when women are hat-free (British royalty excluded)… but another part admires those elegant ladies whose femininity was enhanced by their glorious hats!

Take a Word - Mail Art
I miss the thrill of going to the mailbox and finding surprises there. Somehow a Facebook greeting isn't quite the same!
