Our challenge is "Ships" at Digital Whisper.  My background is a part of an 1800's painting and I imported the sailing vessel from Google. Three Muses - Door

MIXED MESSAGES!  Surely this door has a story to tell.  Once it's sign welcomed all visitors; now they're warned to keep out.  What happened between welcome and warning?  Who was the last to lift the knocker now rusted and forlorn?  Old houses, old doors, old windows always fascinate me.  They leave me wondering what stories they could tell of the lives they shuttered; what hopes, fears, laughter, and tears.   To me they're like the cliff dwellings of the ancients, holding their secrets forever, while new generations live out their stories behind new doors and windows in the relentless march of time.   Thanks for taking time to share my fascination.

Three Muses - Fright

I have to say this  challenge gave me angst.  I am afraid of snakes, and the very thought of  creating a piece of art that featured a snake gave me shudders.  This could almost be a selfie!   The lady is from a book in the 1960's, greatly altered; the friendly reptile is from clip art, also altered.   I don't care if he is friendly, he looks to me as if he has ulterior motives!  .....and I'm trying not to think of those 18 foot pythons they're finding in the Florida Everglades!  Thanks for your visit.
