Diane asked us to play with our art this week, explore something new, etc. I took her at her word! This is one of my zentangle sketches, which I scanned in and embellished with a bit of color. I hadn't tried that before. Thanks, Diane. It's fun to simply play around and explore different ideas. I had a great time!
Love the brightly colored organic images in contrast with the graphic lines!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, Bev...Beautifully created!
ReplyDeleteGreat sketching, Bev, and a great idea to combine it with the splash of colour. You obviously enjoyed the process and the result is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteYour sketch is great Bev, and that red and yellow really pop against the black and white. Nicely done!

I love the mix of black and white with a hint of the coloured piece...wonderful work!!!!
ReplyDeleteStunning Bev, now is that real doodling or digi? Like always my mouth hangs open.
ReplyDeleteThanks by the way for your kind comment on my piece. Everything apart from the girl's dress was acrylic paint. The dress I cut from some scrapbook paper. Oh and there were a few collaged bits which I put on while in the process of painting. (Not the most clever, it's better to either do the one and then the other...)
Stunning, love the splash of colours!
ReplyDeleteThose colored pieces really "pop" against your black and white zentangle sketches. Love this piece Bev!
ReplyDeleteI just noticed in your profile that you are from Indianapolis and are Aquarius. I grew up in Indy (Berkley Road near Butler University) and my bd is Feb. 9th *smiles*
It's unique!!! Love it!!!
ReplyDeleteVery clever! Love the way you combined the sketch with colour.
ReplyDeleteThis just pops Bev, you did it again with black and white and red. Great result.
