Three Muses - Quote or Quip

In his Lake Woebegone series, Garrison Keillor refers to the ladies of the local church, the name of which, according to Keillor, is Our Lady of Perpetual Guilt. Somewhere I heard the above quote, and it is profound. As women, we so readily accept blame one can assume we come equipped with ovaries AND guilt! Credits to this piece go to Art Creations for the freebie background, Cemerony and Land of Nod for the elements, Flickr Collage Images, and miscellaneous stamps from my software. Thanks for stopping by. Your comments are always welcome.

  1. Bev, this is PRICELESS and so, so true. (Am I right in believing it is your very own quote?). As you know, we are able to listen to Garrison Keillor here in Oz on Sunday nights and I love his stories and the droll manner in which he delivers them.
I love your picture. It is superb - from the richness in colour to the perfect, whimsical image. Take a bow!

  2. Bev, this is extraordinary - your collage is wonderful in every way- what a beautiful composition. Your quote is so true but as I get older- I feel very little guilt any more( that's one good thing about menopause)!

  14. The quote is probably true, we women live in constant guilt and if we have children, the guilt is even deeper. I hope the menopause will make it easier as Lori Saul said. The picture is also great, I like your style of making artwork.
