OK, my song is Frank Sinatra's "Dream (When You're Feeling Lonely)". Doesn't every girl dream of remote castles and handsome knights? There are about a dozen layers to this one. The cone bouquet in the corner is called a "tussy-mussy" and was used to hang from the bedstead in Victorian times to emit fragrance in the boudoir. (Mine is from Create Wings Designs). Thanks for stopping by......(and, if you have the time, check the entry below about the glass printer's plate and share with me anything you may know about them.)
Stunning blending here Bev, this is beautiful. I love tussie mussies too and I make them often with herbs.
ReplyDeleteBev, this is exquisite. What a beautiful dreamworld you have created! All the layers fit seamlessly together. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the story about the tussy-mussy. I have seen pictures of them in ephemera collections and had no idea what they were used for.
Wonderful artwork.

ReplyDeleteVery romantic, ethereal piece... seasonally spicy tussie mussies seem like they'd be great to hang up on a Christmas tree...I"ve seen little coroneyts on old-fashioned ( Dickensonian ) type trees...wonder if that's the inspiration?
