I've always liked the song "One Is the Lonliest Number", though I don't necessarily agree with it. Though I've been a widow for many years, my life has been filled with the joy of family and friends. But, since this is MY challenge, I thought I'd get "one" out of the way and make room for all our talented artists to have at the rest of them!
Wow Bev this is awesome.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful design. Gorgeous.
I'm with you, Bev. I love the song but (like you) I'm too busy to be lonely and that's a good thing. Your picture is beautiful and touching (and elegant and classy!!). Great work.
ReplyDeleteYour card is so lovely its gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeletewonderful - and you are so true: there is a big difference between being alone and being lonely!
ReplyDeleteBev, your little lady seems to be enjoying her One time, and no wonder with such a gorgeous colour palette, so warm and friendly with such a glow to it ..... I love it. Love that font too.
ReplyDeleteJust perfect...the whole feel is delicate and serene...love the warmth of the coloring! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFantastic take on this theme. And you're right, beeing alone means not beeing lonely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful piece, Bev! Actually, it's exquisite! Hugs, Terri xoxo
ReplyDeleteBev ~ This is so beautiful I love the color and blending...excellent work.
ReplyDeleteOh Bev, what a sad but very beautiful piece!! I'm so glad that's not really how you are feeling!
ReplyDeleteWow this is stunning and you have created the bleakness in the atmosphere to go with the number 1
ReplyDeleteHugs June xxxx
Hi Bev,
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful poignant piece and I love your thoughts on the number one -(Three Dog Night) was the band I think who recorded that song. I think we can be surrounded by many people and still feel lonely. Great challenge this week!
Beautiful piece, Bev! Now I can't get that song out of my head :)
ReplyDeleteBev, your collage is lovely with its vintage imagery and colours, and it illustrates the song so well!
ReplyDeleteBev, this is beautiful, and I do agree with you. One (excuse the pun) can be solitary without being lonely, and sometimes it is necessary to have some time alone.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a ridiculous saying? I am so happy when I get "time out" from everyone!!!! I'm sure you have tons to keep you busy, Bev and you have creaed this lovely piece of digi-art for us to prove it! Bravo!
ReplyDeleteAs for dryer sheets - yes, they can be painted, spray-painted, stitched and stuck on too!! Go for it!
This is really beautiful, Bev. I remember that song, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poignant piece, Bev, love the vintage look!
ReplyDeleteWhat a touching interpretation of the theme....It's beautiful...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit and kind comments....
