This week's theme at Take a Word is Numbers. My distinguished gentleman "number cruncher" is from a painting by Hubert von Herkomer. The numbers are from Maya's Steampunk at Scrapbook Graphics. Thanks for stopping by to have a look!
Bev, first let me compliment you on a super example for numbers. I am stupid in the "who is this artist" field and am unfamiliar with von Herkomer's works. Your colors are awesome. Second, I want to thank you for making your link obvious. Sometimes on challenges it is so difficult to find how to get to the host artist's blog.
Bev this is just brilliant I love it...I think it is one of my very favorite pieces that you have done...fabulous work!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful setting for the numbers, great challenge.
ReplyDeleteThe combination with the rusty numbers and the grungy background is stunning too Bev !! And Huberts painting fits perfect :-)
ReplyDeleteDeann & Rian have summed up my feelings perfectly about your 'numbers' piece, Bev, you have created a 'masterpiece!'
ReplyDeleteA Masterpiece indeed. I echo everyone's comments! Gorgeous! xx
ReplyDeleteLove those rusty numbers, Miss Bev. Will have to pop over to visit Maya me thinks. A lovely collage for our inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThose numbers look so right-- in fact everything does! Great job, Marie!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry Bev... I've made a mistake!
ReplyDeleteI've congratulated Marie, I was drowsy... :(
