Take a Word - Sewing

Since the theme this week is "sewing",I thought I'd introduce you to Sarah Jane.  I made her about 30 years ago when primitive dolls were all the rage.  She's wearing her best pantaloons and her dust cap, and she has a special place in my heart.

  6. I love Sarah Jane and she IS SPECIAL with her wistful little face and old fashioned dust cap and smock. I think she is even wearing lacy bloomers!!
I can see that it must have been a very big stretch to move from Sarah Jane to your latest doll making enterprise!! Maybe we will see the new one sometime.

  8. She's very beautiful dear Bev. A wonderful entry for the sewing challenge.
I used to make dolls too, poured wax ones. I still have a couple but they don't mean as much as my old Peggy I've had 70 years. Hugs xx
