I had fun with this, foraging for ephemera and a treasured old photo, taken in about 1943 or so. In the background is the one-room school I attended. My friend, Kenly, and I have "Old Kate" hitched to a home made wagon, taking a cool drink to the men working in the field. My life encompasses a quantum leap from a time before electricity and indoor plumbing to my life of comfort in a large city today. Oh my, how times have changed! Thanks, Deann, for occasioning my trip down memory lane!
Lovely and touching Bev This is really what life comes down to isn't it...when loved ones pass on all that remains are our memories of them, and their letters and photos.

ReplyDeleteI think your Memory collage belongs on the cover of a history book or a photo album, Bev! It is incredible and so is your narrative about the changes you have seen! I haven't been around the blog world nearly as much as I'd like in the the last year, due to some new responsibilities a work, but it's nice to know I can still come here to find my old friends and play!
