Eggs. When I was a child, my mother raised chickens. Each week we sold three or four 30-dozen cases of eggs...each egg collected, toted, cleaned and placed in cartons, then into the cases. It was a never-ending task! Today, when I buy a dozen eggs at the store, I have a true appreciation of the work it represents. My "egg" in this piece is credit to Finecrafted Designs, some elements by Createwings Designs, and background is my own. Thanks for your visit.
Love their expressions- this is a charmer Bev!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are an "eggs pert" in this department, Bev:) Love the chick hatching!
ReplyDeleteI am betting someone has invented machines that do all the dirty work now! Love Yvonne's word for you and your knowledge of chooks and eggs - Eggs-pert. A great piece - vibrant, colourful and a reminder of happier days for barnyard chicks.
ReplyDeleteThis is just dear!

ReplyDeleteWe raised chickens too! It was a tedious job but well worth it. We got eggs and lots of fried chicken! Precious piece here :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful collage and a lovely story about your childhood. I think everything will be done by machine now expect for the part the hen plays.
