Three Muses - Footwear
Gone are the days when I wore such sexy heels. Now I'm in the age of orthopedic wedgies. How well I remember the pain of pinched toes and aching ankles. My shoe-shopping lady is from Tangie Baxter, the shoes cybersurfed. Thanks for stopping by.

Take a Word - Botanical
Every Spring my mother anxiously awaited the arrival of her seed catalogs in the mail. She spent hours poring through them, and looking forward to working in her garden. She's been gone for 19 years, but her flowers still bloom near the place she called home. These vintage seed packets remind me of her. The image is by Lynne Perella. Thanks for stopping by.

Digital Whisper - Raccoon
Raccoons are such adorable little bandits. We have a momma living under our deck who raises her babies there annually. When grown, they seem to wander off into the woods for the summer, where they, no doubt, have a vacation cottage! This image is from Pinterest, source unknown. I gave him hands and put him behind bars. If anyone knows the source, please let me know. Thanks for visiting!

Three Muses - Umbrella
This piece was created with a Pinterest freebie image and the background is a composite of many layers long in my stash and a filter or two. Thanks for your visit!

Digital Whisper - Books
Where would we be without books? I put aside my Kindle any time for a treasured book. I love the smell of old books, and musty old book shops are a favorite haunt. Great challenge, Patti!

TRANSPORTATION
Algeron was a thoughtful man
Who wanted to set to sea
He considered his mode of transportation
And what in the world it could be
But Alergron was resourceful
And covered all the bases
He manufactured his seagoing vessel
And set off for foreign places
The ships that he encountered
On his way to distant lands
Were known to admonish their sailors
"Quick! On deck! All Hands!"
I have to admit I dredged Algeron from my archives, but his mode of transportation seemed worthy of a second look. Thanks for your patience with my nonsense, and my rhyming!

Miami Beach, @ 1955. Average wage $4,130.00. Cost of a new house $10,960; a new car $1,900. Gas was 93 cents a gallon; postage was 3 cents. Rent for my studio apartment was $52.50 a month, utilities included; my salary was $250 a month. Minimum wage was $1 an hour. Good job, good friends, and the world my oyster. Those were the days!

SPA - Black and White
I LOVE to do black and white, but I'm always compelled to add a touch of red. Thanks for the challenge.
Take a Word - Monochrome
There's something restful about working with monochrome. I resurrected part of an old bit of my art and played with some filters and blending. Great challenge, Marie!

Three Muses - Altered Cabinet Card
It's always fun to give one of the old cabinet card people a new look. Looks as if this fellow has been reading the advertisements!
