FOREST VISITOR Background is a composite of 5 different photos, butterfly is from Dover Publications. Somehow this scene reminds me of Gene Stratton Porter's "Girl of the Limberlost". Butterflies are such wonders of nature. I have always been fascinated by the story of the Monarch butterflies of the northern U.S. who, in autumn, migrate thousands of miles to central Mexico for the winter. What amazing strength in those fragile wings!
Beautiful. At Niagara Falls Canada we have a solarium where the butterflies are on display life for the public. From the caterpillar stage and the cocoon to caterpillar. Form the beginning to the end. I have my Butterfly display in my blog. If you care to look.
