This might be titled "Concrete Jungle Reclaimed". The background photo is of the abandoned Palace Theater in Gary, Indiana, taken by my daughter. I've added the leopard and the vine. Since the steel mills have closed in the 60's, steel workers left the city in droves, and much of what was once dubbed "The City of the Century" stands abandoned and falling into disrepair. One can almost imagine it will one day revert to a jungle like the ancient city of Angkor Wat in the jungles of Cambodia.
Fabulous piece, love the photo you used and its sad such beauty goes to ruin,

Great piece Bev. And it's sad to see abandoned buildings that were once thriving with workers. We have a lot of these in CT, too. And you could be right about them one day reverting back to the jungle, with plants retaking the areas.
ReplyDeleteHello dear Bev!
ReplyDeleteI wish you and yours a wonderful new year!
I miss you all, but I definetly have no time at all.
I kiss you much my friend!
