Three Muses - Incredible Journey

I love poetry. There's a poet from the 1920's to the 1940's whose skill with words can transport me to wonderful, mysterious, glorious places. His name is Don Blanding, and his poem "The Vagabond's House" is my favorite poem of all time. Here, I've featured a part of another of his poems that draws beautiful word pictures. The phrase "Names are ships to carry dreamers" captured me when I first read it, and does so every time I read it. If you are interested in reading more of his poetry, see it here. Let him take you on an INCREDIBLE JOURNEY!

  1. I love this, Bev, a perfect choice for an incredible journey. I love the rhythm of the poem which takes us on a ride with no stops along the way. Your illustration is beautiful and I especially love the old fashioned typewriter look. Ahem, I am old enough to remember when there was only one font and a mistake meant using a real eraser!! Great work.

  21. Oh shoot! I got so sidetracked by your stunning work, I forgot to say thank you for putting the campaign graphic in your sidebar. A lot of us really appreciate it. It means more than you know! We all borrow and learn from each other, but to literally download and use someone else's work is what we want to educate about. You are making a difference.
