A little over 25 years ago, I was sketching Santa figures on 1-inch pine, cutting them out with a band saw, sanding them, painting them with oils, then sanding again to age them. This odd couple is a product of that hobby, photographed and superimposed on a googled background, with a little digital tweaking. I don't know how odd they are, but I do know they're one of a kind! Thank you for stopping by to have a look!
Beautiful, Bev!
ReplyDeleteWell Bev they aren't too odd...but they are real cute...or you can get by on my premiss...He is a man and she is a woman and you can't get much odder then that...Lovely work!!!
ReplyDeleteA thoroughly original odd couple! Bev, your Mr and Mrs Santa are wonderful. I can't even begin to imagine the work that went into them, drawing on wood and cutting with a saw, then painting and finishing off. The fact that scanning now makes it possible to give them a longer life is a great tribute to our modern age.
ReplyDeleteohhhhh I love your Santa's couple!!
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful really.
