Oldfashioned is the word of the week at Take-a-Word. My bicyclist is a freebie from the ever-generous and talented Land of Nod (thank you SO much!). Bicycle and ad were googled. Frame is from my long-ago stash and source is lost in the pages of time. When I was a child, one of my favorite pasttimes was riding my bike down country roads past fragrant fields of new mown hay, with the evening breeze in my face. I wish I could bottle that experience, and take a nip now and then!!
Do you ever see boys looking so scrubbed and polished nowadays?? lol....NOT!! What a wonderful art piece Bev...and that old bicycle...awesome!
ReplyDeleteHe is delightful, great work.

ReplyDeleteFantastic old fashioned piece, Bev!
ReplyDeleteI am so envious of the gorgeous image! What a beautiful picture and so cleverly altered from the original with much spiffier patterns and colours. The whole effect is superb, Bev, especially as it conjures up the smell of new mown hay and country life. Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteFantastic Bev I love all the patterns you have going on here...a fabulous job on this and what a handsome little fellow...well done!!!

What a fun piece! I love that precious little boy, and that bicycle--there are no pedals!!!
ReplyDeleteOnly you Bev could create something as wonderful as this and then go on to paint a beautiful picture of riding your bike past 'fragrant fields'. Brilliance, pure brilliance.
ReplyDeleteSuper take on the challenge, Bev! Delightful piece of art!
