This week's challenge is Stripes at Three Muses.   I've combined a googled collection of stripes with a silhouette, filmy overlay and border that have been in my stash forever, with origins long forgotten.  This was fun, Ann.  Thanks!

Three Muses - Trunk

There was a trunk in Grandma’s attic

Where we children used to play
It held bits of lace and “special things”
My Grandma used to say.

Life went on as it’s known to do
Time has passed on golden wings
Now my children play their games
Near the trunk of “special things”.

This old house is growing older
Still to its memories it clings
Soon another generation will play
Near Grandma’s “special things”.

I guess I could have just used a self-image!   Seriously, these faces all seem to have such stories to tell of grief, pain, joy, trials, successes, and long and eventful lives.  This was an interesting challenge, Yvonne!

Three Muses - Sepia

  Inspired by the lyrics of a song from "My Fair Lady".  All elements googled.    The lyrics in part are:

I have often walked
Down the street before,
But the pavement always
Stayed beneath my feet before.
All at once am I
Several stories high,
Knowing I'm on the street where you live.
