I did two pieces for Ann's footprints challenge -- one whimsical, and one thoughtful. For the first, I couldn't resist a silly play on words. The second is a family photo and, when I first saw it, I immediately cropped it to just the feet. There's something about the tiny feet beside Dad's that tugs at my heartstrings. I felt the quote was appropriate as well. Thanks for indulging me!
oh this is adorable. Both pieces Bev. How true is the second pice you did.
ReplyDeleteI dont have the dainty girly feet ever like my tiny Mom had.
I guess that is why I became first prize runner in my class to in my school, broadjumping as well. With very long legs after my dad. Tallest in my class.
Only beauty in the beholder I say.
Excellent pieces Bev.
Bev, go to the top of the class as Queen of the Pun. "Someday my prints will come"? That has to be the funniest and most apt pun ever - not to mention the fabulous illustration!! A great piece.
ReplyDeleteI love your second picture too. It is thoughtful and oh so true. Touching and beautifully done.
Clever you with the pun, Bev, the thoughtful piece is so lovely - perfect page for your scrapbook!
ReplyDeleteOh, Bev, I love the pun in the first one which has me laughing out loud. And then I see the second piece and it is beautiful, both in its imagery and the aptness of its quote. I hope you can hear the applause coming all the way from the UK.
ReplyDeleteYou really caught me off guard with your word that first picture is cute and so funny...and the second is touching and so true...great job Bev.
ReplyDeleteBev you have done two amazing pieces, love the words on them and also love the image on the last one, great art work.
ReplyDeleteAnni
haha, the pun in the first one is so funny! love the second one, too, so true! and very touching to compare the feet of the little and the adult one!
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny! And awesomely illustrated!
ReplyDeleteThe message of the second one is something too many parents seem to forget. It reminds me of the time a former neighbor forced her daughter to eat a cigaret, because she was caught smoking. However, the mother was smoking a cigaret while punishing her daughter. Unbelievable!
Love the comment on tha second one - so great timing as we just had fathers day here in Finland
ReplyDeleteBoth pieces made me smile.
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss your footprints? They are gorgeous and the wonderful quotes! xx
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are soooo wonderful, Bev! Love them...your play on words as well as the tiny feet next to Dad's. COnsider my heart strings pulled!! :)
