HOME is in the eye of the beholder. A native American could fold his tent and move his home in no time at all. Their reverence for Mother Earth and their wisdom regarding the environment were admirable, a wisdom we would do well to follow. The native image is Chief Seattle, chief of the Suqwamish and Duwamish tribes, the prayer is Cherokee, and the village pictured is Ogala Lakota. I honor them all. My teepee at the moment is covered in 8 inches of new snow (and still snowing) on top of the 5 or 6 inches we already had. I hope you are all staying safe and warm. Thanks for stopping by!
A beautiful and touching Cherokee prayer but a prayer for everyone. Bev, your illustration is amazing. I love the warm colours and the seamless blending. Perfection!
