Take a Word - Home
I went foraging through many of my kits from many years ago, gathering bits and pieces, and this was the end result......Rainbow's End, where the key is always out! Thanks for indulging me!

Digital Whisper - Ocean Bottom
Am I the only one amused that Patti's challenge last week was Summer Swimmers and this week was Ocean Bottom? Anyway, when I checked the deep, I found old Neptune, all alone and wishing for a Neptuness. Thanks for your visit.

Take A Word - Blackbird
'BLACKBIRD SINGING IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT" is the beginning of a well-known Beatles song. Actually, when Paul McCartney wrote this song, it had nothing whatsoever to do with blackbirds. It was inspired by Rosa Parks and the civil rights movement in the U.S. In England, black women were often referred to as black birds, hence the title. With this in mind, it gives the lyrics an entirely new interpretation.
Three Muses - Kite
HITCHING A RIDE. Sometimes your wings get tired. The wee observer is extracted from a Jesse Wilcox Smith painting, the source of the ride-hitcher is lost in the pages of time. Thanks for your visit.

Three Muses - Moon
On a magical moonlit night, if you're in a quiet spot and you close your eyes and listen, sometimes, just sometimes, you can hear the music of the night. Silhouette credit to Karen's Whimsy.

Take a Word - Angel
Crown Hill Cemetery in my city encompasses 555 acres of beautiful grounds and is home to hundreds of stone angels such as the one above. It is a peaceful and serene place for long walks and bicycle rides. Credits: Create Wings Designs and Pinterest.
Sunday Postcard - Cat
?Le Chat" is from a coloring book, filled with various bits of papers from my stash. She's obviously a lady of style! Thanks for the challenge.
Digital Whisper - Ice Cream
When I was a child 10 cents would buy a Dixie Cup filled with ice cream that came with a little wooden spoon. Inside each lid was a picture of a popular movie star of the time. It was always great excitement to see whose picture was in your Dixie Cup. On Saturday nights, outdoor movies were shown in the tiny town near our farm. We children spread blankets on the grassy area, and most of us were treated to a Dixie Cup. I understand these lids are collector items now. Oh, SIGH, I'm SO old!
