Lots To Do - Keys

For some reason, the challenge word "Keys" made me think of the chatelaine clasps worn by ladies in the 1880's to which they attached various items necessary to their duties. These might be sewing items, pocket knives, keys, and such. They usually attached the clasp at their waist, as seen in this silhouette image. The background for this piece is by Lorie Davison. I'm sorry, I'm not sure where I got the silhouette image of the lady.

  1. What a beautiful piece Bev - those Chaterlaines worn by the ladies muct have been beautiful. I used to do a lot of embroidery at one time and would have loved to own one.

Thank you so much for joining the Lotstodo challenge again this week with your beautiful work
