I find it always intriguing and ask myself WHO or WHAT ever lived there.

I fully expected to see some old famous poet's name below the poem, which I read first, and the name didn't click. Then I read your post (I didn't know your last name). I am floored! But that sounds bad, like I didn't think you had it in you to write such a beautiful thing. I don't mean that, I am not surprised but very very impressed. Bev, I had to do a double take on the poem! At first I wondered how you managed to find a poem that conveyed exactly what you were trying to say! Duh! It's really wonderful and has such universal appeal! The abandoned steps and doorway leave one feeling nostalgic. Love the way you have nature beautifully and gracefully taking over the scene!
