Three Muses - Birds of a Feather

This is a sort of tongue-in-cheek entry, but God surely had SOMETHING in mind when he created the toucan. His beak, though very strong, is made of ultra light-weight material so as not to interfere with his aerodynamic progress. Did you know it has been studied by auto manufacturers, hoping to emulate its light-weight strength? There's my bit of trivia for the day. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Love your bit of trivia Bev- and I think you showed beautifully how very different birds can be -yet each miraculous. Wonderful entry!

  4. Yes, I enjoyed the little bit of trivia too, Bev. I had never pondered on the weight of that huge beak but, of course, if it were as heavy as it looks the poor bird would never get off the ground. I love your picture. The colours are gorgeous. Beautiful artwork. Take a bow.

  13. I guess if you were into aerodynamics it would be quite obvious that that giant beak theoretically should get in the way. i always looked at it as a big mouth. very beautiful card!
