For my artist, I chose the contemporary artist, Eduard Recife . Among his work are pieces with a quirky, grungy approach on vintage images. I find it great fun to do a "Recifean" collage. Thanks for stopping by.
Yes, this is a pleasant surprise and a look back at the fun we had with Recife and his grunge art at DAQ or maybe it was for the Frameworthy at Scrapbookgraphics. This is a great piece, Bev. You were always the expert at this type of art - and it shows. Fantastic.
Oh, how I love this one Bev !! You know we share the art of Eduardo and it is so filled with detailed and unusual elements. I've made my squirrel ( for the take a word challenge last week) also in this fine art style.
You've done him proud and I'm glad that you choose him !!
Bev ~ I'm not really familier with his work...oh goodie a research subject...however I am impressed with your collage...excellent work and now I'm off to Google Eduard!
Love this creation Bev! I have been wanting to come by for a visit, and have loved looking at some of your latest collages, always a treat and feast for the eyes!!
Oh my!!! I have never heard of him let alone seen his work....went to the link and am blown away!!! What an amazing artist. Do you know of Lenore Tawny? she did very similar work and is another favourite if mine. Great collage. Glenys
Funny how these old photos make the subject look aged, but young at the same time - at least I think so anyway. This looks like an artist to explore further - I do love a bit of collage :) Thanks for introducing me.
Wow! How have I missed this guy? Thank you so much for sharing his work, Bev. He is right up my alley, as your example of his style! I think I would like to try my hand at a Recifean collage myself.
Shame on me, Bev! I didn't know this talented brazilian fellow. As I have already googled him and visited his site (http://www.misprintedtype.com/v4/)I can assure you have captured his style, but still Bev, of course.
I love the work of this man! He is just brilliant! He designed the cool font "Nars", which we used for a lot of items I made for our wedding! Great choice!
