Amythest IS my birthstone, and my favorite color. It was fun to do this amythest fantasy! Silhouette is credit to Karen's Whimsy. I used a close-up of a faceted amythest ring for an overlay, and it provided a surprising perspective of depth.
I'm jealous Bev I always loved the gorgeous purple of amythests as opposed to the vapid pale blue of the aquamarine which is mine...this is a slice of whysical violet loveliness! A belated Happy Birthday!
Are you snowed under back there I heard the weather was pretty nasty in the midwest.
As soon as I saw your picture I marvelled at the cut gem effect and wondered how you managed to achieve the facets!! Then I read on and see you used an amethyst ring in the background. How crafty and clever is that? Fantastic, Bev.
I love the contrast. lovely!
