Remember when ladies were taught to lift the little finger when they held a cup? I especially remember my grandmother delicately holding a cup just as this lady is holding hers. Remember when a lady waited for a gentleman to open doors for her?....when a gentleman always walked on the street side of the sidewalk? .... when your date always came to the door to pick you up? .... when a lady crossed her legs only at the ankles?... and, for that matter, when young people got married BEFORE they lived together? Ahhh, those were the days!

Those were the days, Bev, loved your reminiscing and your collage!
ReplyDeleteI got a chuckle out of what you wrote, Bev. Adorable collage!
ReplyDeleteWonderful collage--doesn't look like the coffee quite passed the taste test!!
ReplyDeleteThe look on the lady's face is priceless, Bev, your collage is fantastic and your "remember when" hits the nail right on the head. Wonderful artwork with a smile. I love it.
ReplyDeleteAmen Bev, remember when people said "you're welcome" instead of "no problem"...I love her face this is fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous collage, Bev! Yes, I remember it all :)
ReplyDeleteSociety has changed so fast indeed and sometimes when I see that young people behave rude or have no knowledge of etiquette... I count to ten in my thougts and wonder why parents don't teach that anymore.
ReplyDeleteBut on the other side, I think when young guys would behave like you discribe, in these days they would be laughed at by girls because they don't know HOW to respond to courtesy. ( I think)

I wish you a nice day !
Formidável recordação!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I do remember and by habit the little finger pops out. Lovely work.
ReplyDeleteLove your recollections, Bev. If your coffee is as good I would like a cup. This lady doesn't look to pleased with your blend! Great card, as always.
ReplyDeleteLovely piece, Bev. Those days when a man went on his knees to ask his girlfriend to marry him. Which I did not, and I lived together with her before we got married. What a shame :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful collage Bev!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, those were the days... I love your piece!
ReplyDeleteI love your collage Bev. Her screwed up face is priceless! Old memories sigh......xx
ReplyDeletelooks like a "tea" drinker to me, Bev! She needs a double shot of espresso!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha!!! She looks digusted, too much funny!
ReplyDeleteWell done, Bev!
This is wonderful. why on earth did we ever do that??
ReplyDeleteIt's times like this I'm glad I'm a man! (We won't bring up the other times.) Wonderful collage.
ReplyDeleteBev- Despite it being the good old days she looks like she needs a bit more sugar in her coffee...bless her heart as they say here in the south. (the southern US that is ... I cannot remember but I think you are from the US and know this already!) As always it is fun to visit your blog.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's the finger crooking and not the coffee that's giving her such a sour expression! Great fun, Bev.
