Three Muses - Gone With the Wind

I remember seeing this movie when it first came out, and the collective gasp in the theater when Rhett said "Frankly, Scarlet, I don't give a damn".  Such language on the screen was unheard of.  My oh my how times have changed!   Margaret Mitchell did not feel the movie stayed true to her novel, but it became one of the most beloved movies of all times.  It was fun to revisit it with this challenge.  The montage is from Googled movie stills, and the reader is a personal sketch.

  1. I think Gone with the Wind has such a magic that it will take long till another Scarlet appears again to challenge the world.Lovely tribute to Vivian Leigh and all the others actors and actresses that made this film a masterpiece.

  3. I love your little reader. She's sweet.
I've never read the book, but was luck enough to see the movie on a big screen in the beginning of the 1980s. Unforgettable.

  4. Your little bookworm is gorgeous -quite the beauty even when on the same page as Vivien!! I love your collage, Bev. It is wistfully nostalgic and a reminder of the days when a movie could keep audiences in their seats for three and a half hours!!

  10. You know, I've never seen this movie all the way through! I read the book when I was in high school! Whew! But there are some very beautifully written passages that I read more than once, so it took even longer! Great job on your collage!!
