Mixed Media Monday -Christmas

These old world Santas grace my mantel each Christmas. I sketched them from photos in a magazine onto 1-inch pine, cut them out with a band saw, sanded, and painted them with oil paints, then sanded them again for an aged effect. They stand about 10 inches tall. They are my favorite Christmas decorations. I photographed them for this challenge, and then put the photo in a frame for display here. Thanks for looking

  1. Very nice.

I'm a decorative painter (though haven't done it in a while) and one of my favorite things to make and to sell was Santa's.
