This was such fun! It's a blend of four different photos, with a frame by B. Datema of Scrapbookgraphics. Don't you think the Mallard drake looks as if he's saying "Oh, sigh, she looks just like an angel all in white!" The swan, however, appears to be thinking "Mother always told me to look out for the over-dressed dandies ...... and he looks a bit short......probably has small duck syndrome" ! Thanks for stopping by!
Very sweet - love comes in all shapes and sizes! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Bev....love your choice of opposites. We have 2 mallards, male and female that spent quite awhile beside our home, in a ravine, earlier this year, and they spent a lot of time walking around in our yard and flower gardens. The females and males are so different, perhaps just that opposite is what attracts. Wish we had a swan drop by. Love your piece.
ReplyDelete"Small duck syndrome"!!!! You "quacked" me up, Bev!!! Hugs, Terri xoxo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful piece and great idea, Bev!
ReplyDeleteWhat a hoot! Lovely piece.
ReplyDeleteWhat an unlikely pair - definitely opposites! I love your "take" on them (too short, dandy, mother's opinion). What an imagination you have, Bev. This is delightful and clever. Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteWonderful piece the swan is a very elegant bird and also Denmark national bird.
