Three Muses - Underwear
I chose to go the simplistic route with Ann's underwear ... ah er, Ann's underwear challenge, that is! Here at the crooked little house at the end of the road it was wash day, and the bloomers and britches are on the line side by side. Romantic, isn't it?

Collage Obsession - Room
Collage Obsession has given us a photo of a room in what is obviously an abandoned house. It has a lonely, sad feeling to it. I like to imagine it was once home to a little girl and her teddy bear, and their spirits are still strong in the room. Thanks for the challenge!

Take a Word - Memories
Looks like happy memories of a long-ago trip to Hawaii. I wonder if these bathing suits were daring in their day!! Thanks for stopping by.

Three Muses - Mail Art
This piece is done in the style (I hope) of Nick Bantock's quirky and clever mail art. If you're not familiar with it, check out his book "Urgent, 2nd Class".

Take a Word - Travel
Well, now, there are all manners of travel, and I indulged in the steampunk mode of getting about. Great fun!

THREE MUSES - Keys
When I was a child, I took piano lessons for a year or two. I occasionally played piano in our little country church. It's been many, many years since I've touched the keys and I hardly remember how to play. I have fond memories of that time, however, and the little country church which was a hub of social activities in our very rural area of middle Illinois. The ladies of the church sponsored an annual chicken dinner that was renowned in the area, and very well attended. I have fond memories of the fried chicken too! Sadly, little country churches, windmills, lovely old barns and one-room schools are disappearing from our countryside.

Sunday Postcard - Dancing
Dancing is such joyous expression of emotion. Someone said "Dancing is dreaming with your feet", and indeed I suppose that's true. Thanks for stopping by to see my dancer!

Theme Thursday - Beard & Moustache
When I see old abandoned houses, I always think of the lives that were once sheltered there, the hopes, the dreams, and the sorrows. It conjures up faces like the strong face above. In his era, most men had moustaches and beards, probably because shaving was not quite so easy with razor strops and straight blades!! Image from Flickr Free to Use.

Three Muses - Victorian
This is a sort of somber "take" on this week's challenge. I've been having a bit of trouble communicating with my muse this week. I think she's pouting because, after one warm, sunny day, we're back to rain and chilly. I know just how she feels. I hope the sun's shining in your world, blog friends. Thanks for stopping by!
