When I see old abandoned houses, I always think of the lives that were once sheltered there, the hopes, the dreams, and the sorrows. It conjures up faces like the strong face above. In his era, most men had moustaches and beards, probably because shaving was not quite so easy with razor strops and straight blades!! Image from Flickr Free to Use.
great image! love your altered art!
ReplyDeletewonderful face, love the texture!!!
ReplyDeleteSuper cook image, Bev!
ReplyDeletelove old people, they have so much to tell, you can see it at theyre faces..
ReplyDeleteA great, dignified, careworn face. I love your take on the beard/moustache theme. I wonder too if the "tools of the day" for shaving were so difficult to use that the choice was made to remain hairy.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a strong piece, Bev. The text goes perfectly with the face. I remember watching my grandfather shave with a straight razon that he kept honed using the strop.
