Spring is the time all the momma birds are busy tending their nests. My son and wife have their front door ribboned off because a robin has built her nest in the wreath on their front door! Their guests will be back-door guests until Momma Robin's little family is on its way. My momma bird here is compliments of Graphic Fairy (and thank you very much). Thanks for visiting!
Bev this is just gorgeous! There's just something about birds and nests and eggs which sort of grab you. Your work this week is more than special! Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteBeautifully designed!!
ReplyDeletefantastic composition!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! And I love the story about the robin's nest in the wreath. :)
ReplyDeleteI had to translate "Robin" because I didn't understand what bird you meant :)
ReplyDeleteIn Holland we call it a "Roodborstje".
Thanks for sharing you lovely story Bev and your entry is enjoying !
Wow! This is exquisite, Bev. Absolutely beautiful. I love the colours, the wonderful textures, in fact EVERYTHING. Thanks also for the story about the family of robins taking pride of place at the front door - and sending visitors to the rear. Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteGreat challenge and a wonderful image, love the story about the robin.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful and earthy...I love the natural looking background the whole thing is just superb!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Bev, portrays true nature, superb in every way!
ReplyDelete("Go to work on an egg" was the 'best way to start the working day" - EATing them in this case rather than flying in them!! LOL
Beautiful, Bev!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely for your children... a robin-in-residence! Imagine if they get photos of that - awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove your stunning piece Bev!
Very pretty. The eggs look so 3D! We had one build in our paper box last year. Actually, they try to build there every year and we keep pulling the bits out (for our Mail carrier's sake) but last year one had eggs laid before we knew it so we left it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely story, Bev. Your art is always a pleasure to see.
ReplyDeleteCharmant collage avec cette petite grive Bev ! Bravo !

Merci pour votre petit mot sur mon blog !
Bev, I love how you have created this in a monochrome. It's gorgeous. Those little robins do find some very unusual places to nest don't they. We had robins in a plant pot for two years running.
ReplyDeleteThat's a breathtaking piece, so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful. I just love your son roping off his front door to protect the nesting birds and eggs. That is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, Bev. The eggs fairly glow and look 3D!
