Three Muses - Mona Lisa

It's always been a bit of a puzzle to me why Mona's popularity never wanes.   She isn't especially beautiful, but she certainly holds the medal for longevity!!   Yet....as this piece came together and I saw just those eyes in the puzzle pieces I thought "I'd know those eyes anywhere!"

    You are so right!! If this were not a Mona challenge, I am sure I would have seen her in those eyes. I love how you have married your love of maps to Mona. She is, indeed, a woman of mystery, more so here than anywhere else I have seen her. Superb artwork, Bev. You are a legend.

    This piece has a feeling of mystery to it. I like it. I've wondered the same thing, myself. There are portraits of prettier women but it seems no one can really surpass Mona for having that certain something.
